Please HELP!
I've put music CD'S into my Acer desktop but for some bizarre reason it does not want to know.
It just makes a double clicking noise every five/ten seconds.
This has only just started to happen after hundreds of previous successful attempts.
Ironically I just put in an ACDC cd and after a few of the double clicks it opened but nothing else will! Angus and co obviously have the knack!

From your description it seems to be an issue with the Disk Drive. Check that the Disk drive is properly connected. Also it can be that the Lens of your disk drive has been damaged so you may try to repair it using a Lens Cleaner Disk. Even after that it is unable to read the CDs then probably your disk drive might have gone bad.

Have purchased a laser lens cleaner and now all is up and running.
