I am using an acer aspire desktop installed with windows 7. I was using the imgburn program for burning my cd's and dvd's and now when i try to burn the cd or a dvd whenevr i try to burn a cd using the imgburn application it result in an error message"Write error sector 1874816 in Imgburn". Please help me to get rid of this error.
You may be facing this error because of the corruption of the files of the Imgburn application. So it will be helpful if you try to uninstall the program from your system and then reinstall a fresh copy of Imgburn on your system this will repair all the damages of the ImgBurn file and will definitely eliminate the error.
Most probably you may be getting this error because of the compatibility issues. I think that the Imgburn software is not compatible with the windows 7 operating system. So if possible i think you need to upgrade to a higher or latest version of the software so please try to get it upgraded in order to solve this matter.
The best possible solution to eliminate this error is to install the latest version of the Imgburn application on your system. Since the Imgburn application which you are using appears as incompatible with windows 7 and hence you have not faced this error before when you were using the windows XP .

It also helps you to backup all your important data, helps you to burn dvd's and all. you can also create burn and grab ISO image and all the tools operate in wizard mode. It also does not requires much expertise.
Most probably it appears as you are burning the discs with a higher speed. So i would request you to burn the discs on a lower speed. It is always advisable to burn a disc on a lower speed this also increases the life of the disc. i think that burning on 4X speed will definitely help you. Hope it works
