The M1022 BookTop desktop docking station and ThinNote utilize the older Atom N270 chip as the TouchNote tablet netbook uses the ‘upgraded’ Atom N280. Extra common features comprise 10.1-inch displays, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 and 1GB of RAM. You can wait for the Gigabyte netbooks to ship approximately April 30th, priced at $594 for the M1022 and $644 for the TouchNote tablet. Best of luck.
Re: Need multitouch netbook
The new model LT20 and LT30 of Asus has a standard Intel Atom CPU and a 160GB hard drive. This version contain a thin LED screen and multitouch gestures. It also has a better keyboard and touch pad than the current 10-in. model. The new unit is about an inch thick. There is no official word on price or availability, but message that Gateway is getting rebadged versions of these 10 and 11-inch Netbooks. Check and reply.
