How to save Video clips on Mp3 player?
Hello there, I have a Sony Walkman Mp3 player. I have music videos which are in different formats such as AVI, MPEG4, FLV etc. I want to save these videos on the MP3. I dont know if the player supports video playback or not. Also is there any way in which only the Audio from the Video can be ripped so that I would be able to hear the songs if the Videos wont work. So if anybody knows How to save Video clips on Mp3 player then please share some information. I am using a Desktop computer which is running on Windows XP operating system to transfer songs to the MP3 player. Are there any software's to rip the audio from the video? Please suggest some solutions. Thanks in Advance.
Re: How to save Video clips on Mp3 player?
First confirm that the Mp3 player supports the Video playback feature. If the player does not support the Video playback then there is no use in storing the videos on the Mp3 player. Even if the player has a LCD screen and it displays photo, it does not necessarily mean that it will support video playback. Video playback requires codecs which has to be present in the firmware of the player so that the player is able to play the videos. Therefore before storing videos on the Mp3 player, be sure that the player supports video playback.

If the MP3 player has an Mic input then you can record only the Audio of the videos on the Mp3 player. You will need Phone to Auxillary cable to record the audio to the MP3 player. Follow the steps to record the Audio from the Music videos, Burn all the Videos to a CD. Now insert the CD in a music player or the CD drive. If you dont have a music system then you will need a Phono to phono cable. If you have a music system, get a Phono to Auxillary cable and connect the phono end to Mp3 player and auxillary end to the Music system. Play the videos on the Music system and at the same time record the audio on the Mp3 player using the record button. If you are using CD drive instead of the music system then connect the phono cable to the sound o/p port of the CD ROM and not to the sound o/p of computer and connect one end to Mp3 player. Now play the video and record it on the Mp3 player.

To be able to watch the videos on the Mp3 player you will first have to convert the videos to a format which is supported by the player. While converting the videos the resolution of the video should also be selected so that the video is playable on the player. There are many applications available for converting the videos in Windows Xp. Virtual Dub is one of the applications which helps in converting the Video to the format desired by the user. It also helps in setting the resolution to a perfect size which is supported by the player and also in setting the quality of the conversion.

You can use Total video converter to convert the videos to the format which is supported by the player. Total video converter comes with built in settings for different portable player which makes the difficult job of conversion very simple. You just have to select the file which has to be converted and for the player for which has to be converted. Once the player is selected, just click on the convert button. Total Video converter also helps in extracting audio from the video files. Hence if the MP3 does not support video playback then you will be able to hear the audio file without any problems.
