How to install KDE SC 4.4 RC 1 in OpenSUSE 11.2
Hi all,
I have a OpenSUSE 11.2 in my PC. I installed KDE SC 4.4 RC 1 but there appears to be conflicts between the Packman k3b/k3b-codecs packages and the new KDE build. so it does not work. Can anybody have some idea about install KDE SC 4.4 RC 1 in OpenSUSE 11.2. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

To install KDE SC 4.4 RC 1, in OpenSUSE 11.2, just trail the following steps:
# Open the terminal console
# Add the repository with the command:
sudo zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/reposit...openSUSE_11.2/ openSUSE\ 11.2\ KDE\ Factory\ Desktop
# Add the community repository with:
sudo zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/reposit...ctory_Desktop/ openSUSE\ 11.2\ KDE\ Factory\ Community
# Now you can update to KDE SC 4.4 RC 1 with the command.

If you want, you can set both repositories to refresh automatically by doing this command:
sudo zypper mr -r openSUSE\ 11.2\ KDE\ Factory\ Community && sudo zypper mr -r openSUSE\ 11.2\ KDE\ Factory\ Desktop
Now you can update your installation by this command
sudo zypper up
