USB phone unable to connect to Skype in Windows 7
Hello. I have been using Windows 7 as the operating system installed on my desktop machine. The problem is that I am not able to connect my USB phone to the system in order to get it connected to the Skype. I do not know what could be the problem that is been causing this issue. Please help me out so that I could get a solution for the thing. Thank you.

The compatibility issue is the big thing that may lead you to go through such issue. You need to check the compatibility for the phone under Windows 7. Contact to the manufacturer for the same. You may get the required utility disc driver for the same. Also you need to upgrade the version for your Skype tool in order to make the things to work in possible conditions.

Windows 7 is a very sophisticated operating system and has many tools that is the compatibility tools for the same. You need install the compatibility tool for Windows Xp or Vista under Windows 7 that may help you to work out for the possible things to get worked. This is very much possible that you need to choose the mode through which you can make the device to cope with the operating system.

Use safe mode option in order to get the things to get worked. A safe mode is generally a mode through which you can get the application to work with do not support high features. Safe mode has low features and hence it works under the same. This may generally allow you to access the thing if the issue is related with the operating system. So do look out for the solution.

There is an alternative to get the things to get worked with. You need to work it as Administrator.
* Right click on the driver installation file.
* Choose Properties.
* Now Click on the Compatibility tab.
* After it is been done select Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows Vista Service Pack 2 below.
* Check the Run this program as administrator box under Privilege Level.
* Click OK to save the settings.

Run a clean boot in order to lower the enabled features in Windows 7. This should help you out.
1) Click on start button.
2) Type msconfig in the search box and hit enter.
3) Now under the selective startup choose Hide all Microsoft services.
4) Disable the services.
5) Restart the system.
