Re: Core i3 VS T6600
My suggestion would be go with the Core i3. The Core i3 has newer architecture and on board GPU, and also has 32NM process which will give you a better/best battery life with excellent performance compare to the T6600 prcosser. And Core i3 also has hyper threading support, means 2 physical cores but the computer will act as if it had 4 logical cores. Hope you would be able to choose the correct processor.

Re: Core i3 VS T6600
According to me, you should purchase the laptop with Core i3 processor, which will more beneficial to you. Core i3 is a Dual Core Chip with functionality of hyperthreading. So, the Dual Core i3 will be taken as a Quad Core by the Operating System. The another advantage of Core i3 over T6600 is the speed provided by Core i3. The Core i3 is built on a 32NM process, means it will not suck as much power. Hope your problem will be fix.

Re: Core i3 VS T6600
Without any doubt go for Core i3 processor they are at top at present and will there in future also. This Core i3 processor is a hyper-threading quad core processor and on the other hand the T6600 is a Core 2 Duo Dual core processor. I am right using the Core i3 and i am having great gaming experience with it. The Core i3 speed is excellent, just little bit concern is heating of it, rest everything else is best. So. i would think that speed will be more concerned then the cooling, hope you will be satisfy using Core i3.

Re: Core i3 VS T6600
My studies about the processors say that T6600 processor will definitely lacks in the HyperThreading , but Core i3 ill not for sure. But, if you will be doing only the single threaded work (i.e browsing, email, music, casual games) or barely multi-threaded (i.e most games) tasks on your laptop, then T6600 processors will be worth. And if you are going do media encoding or Folding@home or more of multithreading activity, then new architecture is worth it( i.e Core i3).

Re: Core i3 VS T6600
Actually you should have completely described your requirement then it would be easy to make choice, you have not mentioned the budget as well as what is actually you are going to do on laptop( i.e gaming, music, surfing etc). Assuming that your budget is high and you would needing for gaming purpose then should purchase Core i3 processor- faster, better clockspeed, good performance and will also save lots of battery as well. But, if you requirement is general and not high profile one then simply go for T6600 processor. Hope your problem will be fix.
