Newsgroup server settings
I need some information on assigning a newsgroup server. I have configured my mail in outlook express. And on the same hand I have to add a newsgroup server. But I had never configure it before. how to do that. I need some basic steps for the same. So that this can help me to view my news everyday.

In the "News (NNTP) server" box, position news.xxxx.com in the pasture, where "xxxx.com" is the News server that your ISP has obtainable for you. Depending on your ISP's situation, you may need to leave the My news server necessitates me to log on check box empty. Contact your ISP for details.

Now the above is a type of private settings. Other public newsgroup servers will have different settings. If you get access to the usl posted then after entering your News server, select Next. Otherwise the main things is that you will need the proper newgroup address to access the news from it.

A dialog box asking if you wish to download all available newsgroups from the newly added account will be displayed. Notice on the left hand side a new section is included in the left pane named "news.xxxx.com."Choose Yes to see all of the newsgroups that are currently available for access on the Newsgroup server.

As almost immediately as you finished the newsgroup connection you will get all available newsgroups will be demonstrated. Select one by highlighting it and then choose the Subscribe button. This will allow you to download all messages from the preferred newsgroup to your computer for viewing and reply to posted messages.You can add and subtract Newsgroups at any time.

You can better assigned the rss feed of sites you want. To do that you can see a orange box at the right top or end of many site. This icon resembles the rss feed service. By this you will stay updated every time whenever the site adds up information. Today many sites gives options of rss feed.
