Scheduled tasks won't stop
I have been experimenting with scheduled tasks and have noticed that they don't end at the specified end time.
I am doing this to make sure the main intended task will run the way I want it to when I set it up, but for now, my test subject has been Minesweeper.
I set it to run at a specified time, and end after 1 minute. It starts, but doesn't end, while Task Scheduler says that it is no longer running.
What is the cause and how do I fix this?
Re: Scheduled tasks won't stop
Hi friend,
Please try something below:
- First you need to "Open Task Scheduler".
- Then choose the task which is you are not able to stop.
- Then go to "File menu", and then select the "End Scheduled Task" option.
Re: Scheduled tasks won't stop
The icon with an arrow (green triangle) is the schedule task being running in background. For that you need to go to Control Panel, and Scheduled Tasks. Select Add Scheduled Task. If you open the Enhanced avast interface (start avast antivirus) you will be able to change the scheduling or even cancel it. Or you can Click Scheduled Task then need to select Next and then browse. Select your batch file, name it and select daily, click next and enter 6:00 AM. Click next and enter the name and password your want to run the task under. Select "open advanced properties." Click on schedule and then advanced. Select repeat task and duration. Set the duration for 23:59 or 24:00 hours. (If it is still running, it won't restart.) Select if the task is still running end it.
