Hello Guyz I need to access internet on pc using my cell phone. I have a nokia 5130c which i know can be connected to pc to access internet. I have an Aircel connection but don't know if the GPRS is working on it or not. Can anybody suggests me steps which will help me configure my system so that i can use internet on my pc using my cell phone?
First you need to get the gprs activated on your sim card which you can do it by calling up the Aircel call center or visiting there gallery. Then you need to get the gprs settings for your cellphone which again you will get it from the Aircel tech support. Then you will be able to access the internet from your cell phone. You can access the internet on your pc through your cell phone only if your cell phone allows it.
Nokia phones can be used as an external modem. Every phone has External modem mode which can be activated using nokia pc suite. Installing nokia pc suite will allow you to connect your phone to pc as a external modem which you enable you to access the internet on your pc through your phone.
You can also use bluetooth dongle to connect your phone to your. Download drivers for the usb dongle and establish the connection between pc and your phone. Now open network connection and create a dial up entry. enter the phone number provided by the network provider in the dial up tab. When you dial it should give a prompt of Network connetec at 111.5kbps. That's it you will be able to access net on your pc using your phone.

I got the GPRS settings for my phone from Aircel and tried connecting my phone as an external modem using Nokia pc suite which worked, so now I can access internet on my pc using my phone also I will try and get the bluetooth dongle so that i dont need to use nokia pc suite for accessing internet through my phone.
