How does a firewall works. I need a detailed description on it. What is the primary function of a firewall. I also want to know the procedure by which it blocks other software. The network is designed to do generally one thing by the computer. The network allow any computer to connect and it can freely exchange all the information to the other computer. Which has been connected on the same network.
It is the perfect way to communicate between connected system. A person in a computer is free to decide to whom he is communicating with. what service he want. It is called host based security. You will feel that the network is your office, in this way your internet is designed. The computer is not good in office network. It is running very complex. In trust relationships the single network is connected with the other network.
The device which is called firewall. In this we cannot freely exchange the information and it is trusted or untrusted part of network. It break the connectivity in the network level. It has been reference by the American automobile engineering. Where the firewall a type of hard steel plate is placed between the engine and passenger compartments, which prevent the fire.
The information on firewall how it work. It make a link between the trusted and untrusted network communication. It tries to manage all the information flows and stop the free access which is danger. If you are not having the firewall, it will allow the free exchange of the data. You should have high level protocol. the firewall have to know to determine which should be allowed and which should be blocked.
