Dell vostro 1510 system fan not working with windows 7
Hello. Well I have recently purchased a Dell vostro 1510 laptop. It was working fine but then when I upgraded my laptop's operating system to Windows 7 operating system. The problem is now been with the system cooling fan of my laptop as it is not working. I do not know why is this happening. Is this a motherboard issue. It suddenly stopped responding I actually had made setting to the bios by initializing and mentioning the temperature for the processor. Please guide me what to do?

Well as you said that the system fan is not working as you have upgraded the system with respect that you have modified the Bios settings for the heating issue of the processor. This normally corresponds to a problem that can be resolved with the manufacturer. The system fan should be able to work in the startup. The Dell manufacturer will be able to sort out the issue for the thing. Contact them.

The Bios driver should help you out in order to make the fan to work. It might have stopped working as you have made changes to the BIOS for cooling process that is mentioning the temperature for speeding up the fan. This change might require an update to the Bios due to which it has stopped functioning. It would be better if you update the Bios from the manufacturer itself or set the settings to default in BIOS.

The operating system that is windows 7 is not the reason for your fan to malfunction or not working. The issue is related to the connection of the fan that is the power supply may not properly configured or the motherboard may not responding well with the system fan. Check for the BIOS. These are kind of issue that may be the reason for the system fan not responding.
