Hello,
I heard two days before that Airtel is launching 3G USB data cards for internet usage through GPRS , EDGE and 3G technologies. But i want to know that is this 3G USB modem will work with the other service providers like AIRCEL and VODAFONE. Will this only work with the AIRTEL?

First i will give you some information on Airtel 3G Data Card. You can get the speed of only 256Kbps until the 3G service is not starting in India . Because the auction for 3g license is pending. It will be completed in next 2-3 months. After this this service will provide the speed of 3.6 Mbps.
The price for this data card will be somewhere around 3-3.5 thousands. This will be available for users in both , Prepaid and Postpaid service.
You want to buy the AIRTEL 3G USB modem to be able to browse the internet on the move. This service is launched by the the AIRTEL in August month in which they said , they are providing the very fast internet connection using wireless 3G technology. This service is bundled with the AIRTEL and any other private company is not providing this kind of service currently. You can also go for MTNL and BSNL 3G data card other than the AIRTEL.

You are asking that , you should be able to use this data card with AIRCEL or VODAFONE or not. But it is not possible to use this DATA CARD with some other network providers. This service is only Bundled with the Airtel network. If you want to do so , then you should purchase the Universal DATA CARD modem.
