Re: How to change Welcome tone of Windows XP
Hi, I have tried this many times and google it also, but can't find any solution about it. I don't think that there would be any possibility to change startup tone of the Windows xp. I think there would be need to register on the microsoft site, so that we can able to find any solution about it. I have searched on the registry, but it is not useful. I didn't find any solution regarding it. If you find any solution just on this forum, so I can get that.
Re: How to change Welcome tone of Windows XP
Hi, I have searched for this but it is not working. I don't know why? I come to know that we can change our startup tone by making following steps:
- Go to control panel.
- Select Sounds Tab.
- From the list search for a option named "Start Windows".
- Click on Browse.
- Select the file which you want to use as Startup Tone.
- Click Apply and Ok.
But I am getting error in selecting file. Means it need some more settings. What to do now?
Re: How to change Welcome tone of Windows XP
Hi, I have done R&D on the reply of Calvin K and get the result. I am able to change the startup tone of windows xp. Startup tone which is used in XP is in the .wav format. So I downloaded mp3 to wav converter and change one mp3 file to wav file. Then I done all which was told by Calvin k as follows:
* Go to control panel.
* Select Sounds and Devices tab.
* From the list search for a option named "Start Windows".
* Click on Browse.
* Select the .wav file which you want to use as Startup Tone.
* Click Apply and Ok.
And Done!
Thank you Calvin K.
