Overclocking Q9550 E0 with p5q deluxe
Hello, I have just purchased a new machine that I would use up ..
Here is the rig that I bought:
CPU Q9550 E0
MB P5Q Deluxe
RAM OCZ reaper htc edition 2x2GB PC8500 5/5/5/15
CG 275 GTX Gainward Golden Sample
HDD1 WD Caviar Black 500GB
HDD2 WD Caviar Black 500GB
Alim Corsair TX 650W
A recorder to the con ( sony)
Xigmatek box midgard
CPU cooling Noctua NHU12
Here is my goal : would like to go with the 4Ghz with reasonable temperatures and pressures which it can handle ...Well see if my cpu can hold it ?
I know a few bases of the OC but I'm far from a pro! hence approaching for help today ...
For the moment I'm doing a test on CPU Stress MT RC2

Re: Overclocking Q9550 E0 with p5q deluxe
On my P5Q deluxe my PC 8500 has unflinchingly up to 570 may be the relaxation of the tRFC. For the rest, did you try to release the perf level (met the test for a 13 rise in the FSB, it plays a lot on the perf it must then fall back) ,the voltage ranges that you have tried seem correct And also puts the strap 333 with ram in sync, With 2 point (if you did not already) mounted in a retry frequency. Impossible Oc Strap with 400 of my own, whatever the bios. I stabilized at 8 to 450 FSB on a quad

I exchanged my corsair dominator with ocz reaper PC8500
