Nokia N900 doesn't work on 3 mobile SIMS
I'm planning to buy out a new Nokia N900 phone. But i have heard that it does not accept 3 mobile SIMS. Is that true? Can any body tell me that do Nokia N900 doesn't work on 3 mobile SIMS? Does any body knows about it? Kindly let me know your views on the above topic. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Re: Nokia N900 doesn't work on 3 mobile SIMS
USB-OTG is not supported, though Nokia didn’t mention whether it is because of hardware of software. Perhaps there is a setting in the N900 which disables 3G but leaves 2G enabled? If so, that would cause 3 to invalidate the SIM. Since the USB-OTG feature on N800/N810 is developed by users community, this could also happen to N900.
Re: Nokia N900 doesn't work on 3 mobile SIMS
In general, most known issues is software related. It means they be solved by firmware upgrade. The reason 3 does this is that they have to pay another network (Orange) for 2G roaming, so they lose money if someone uses a handset that's only capable of 2G operation. However, there for sure will be more issues popped out after Nokia N900 comes to end users’ hands.

MO 3 have a great data network in the UK. Particularly good rates on PAYG, as pointed out. The N900’s pocket computer credentials are validated when you peek into its engine room, which comprises of a powerful ARM Cortex-A8 processor, with up to 1GB of application memory and OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration. My personal theory is that it is rejecting the SIM because it is 3G-only whereas all other networks support mixed 2G/3G operation.
