Dreambox Install DM500S

I have a satelitte set up in a remote location within my house, my HD6900 is connected to a pc within that loaction, that pc is on my wireless network.

The wireless connection to that pc is good. The Netgear router is located in a different part of the house, running a hard cable direct to the Dreambox would be very difficult.

The pc is recognised by my network, I have an IP address for my router and an IP address for the pc

The Dreambox DM500 S is connected to the pc via an ethernet cable and all seems ok, I get a good picture, it moves the dish ok, but I am having trouble with the Dreambox being recognised by my wireless network and therefore it will not go online.

Can the dreambox be connected to a pc which is wireless or does it have to be hard wire connected direct to the router ?

If I can be connected to a pc which is wireless do I need some other piece of kit ?

I have tried loads of combinations of IP address in the dreambox set up and have also tried setting up port forwarding with netgear admin etc

Any suggestions or help please

Connect your Dreambox to the Router [hard wired], Give static IPs. Then you must know on which port the dreambox works. Now forward that port for the IP assigned to the breambox. Now access the dreambox with the IP of the router along with the dreambox's port and you will get the access to it from the outside network... :thumbup1:
