Re: Installing Mac and OpenSolaris
Well, for doing such a weird combination of dual boot is not recommended, but it is possible to do it. You will need two seperate hard disks. Install Open Solaris on one hard and Mac on the other, now switch the drive priorities according to the one which you need to boot from. I hope this helps... :thumbup1:
Re: Installing Mac and OpenSolaris
Install Mac and create a partition for OpenSolaris on the same drive from Mac installation process. After Mac is installed, Install OpenSolaris and let the OpenSolaris's boot loader to take control, it will automatically create a boot entry for Mac. All the best... :thumbup1:
Re: Installing Mac and OpenSolaris
Yeah, try what Fame said. If that doesn't help, Use Mac DVD to install Mac's boot loader and that will then let you select which drive to boot from see this topics post no.22 : http://forums.techarena.in/guides-tu...tm#post4650175 This is a similar post, you have to modify the content according to your needs. :thumbup1:
