Windows 7 themes automatically change to classic

I have noticed that Windows 7 themes are not working perfectly for me. I mean when i install any theme for windows 7, it is applied and after some days the classic theme is automatically set. Any ideas what may be the problem? Please help... :rolleyes:

I think you have not patched windows theme file : uxtheme.dll. Its a freeware tool which patches this file and lets you install custom themes. Download uxtheme patcher.

I know we have to patch the uxtheme.dll file, i did that too but after a couple of weeks it gets back to the classic theme. Can anybody tell me what problem can it be?? :blink:

Try patching the file with uxtheme patcher again, may be the uxtheme file has healed itself. Did you do a system restore or sfc? May be that makes the original uxtheme file to return. See which one did you do. Also you need to patch the file again... :thumbup1:
