Unable to wake up with USB mouse
XP SP3
AMD CPU
In BIOS, wake up with USB device is enabled. Both USB keyboard and mouse are enabled.
However, in device manager, there is Power Management tab for the USB mouses. Pressing it has no effect when the machine is in standby.
Any way to fix it?
Thanks!

- Click Start, type device in the Start Search box, and then click Device Manager in the Programs list.
- In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
- In Device Manager, expand Mice and other pointing devices.
- Right-click the USB mouse, and then click Properties.
- Click the Power Management tab.
- Click to clear the Allow this device to wake the computer check box, and then click OK.

Re: Unable to wake up with USB mouse
Does your computer wake with USB Keyboard? If it does then you need to move the mouse and it wil wake, it may tak some time... Try and post back... :thumbup1:
Re: Unable to wake up with USB mouse
USB mouse and keyboard should have the capability to resume from suspend, and USB modems may also need to resume. Check your BIOS if there's a wake-up on event option (usually located in the power management menu) and see if it can be toggled to a USB mouse. Also, you might have to enable USB mouse support in your BIOS (yes I know that a USB mouse can work fine in Windows, even without the support for the USB mouse enabled). The USB spec is quite detailed, and has different categories, global suspend and selective suspend.
