Cannot access IEXPLORE.exe on HP Media Center
Not sure if this is in the right forum. I'm having a major problem with my PC and I don't want to have to take it to a repair center, so I found this forum and hope someone can help me!
I have an HP Media Center (HPw19b) and right now when I try to click on Internet Explorer or open up ANYTHING on the Internet, I get the following error message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
I don't know HOW this happened, as I was browsing online like normal and closed out all of my windows. The next time I went to use the Internet, this is what started happening. I don't even know how to do a system restore to a previous date. But really, I just want my Internet back! I'm using a laptop borrowed from work for the time being, but my PC was very expensive and again, I'm just not sure how this happened! :crybaby:
Re: Cannot access IEXPLORE.exe on HP Media Center
IExplore.exe is not the file which is Internet Explorer's application. This internet Explorer file is iexplorer.exe. also Iexplore.exe may be a virus or any kind of infection which is in quarantine or your antivirus has blocked its access so that it doesn't spread and so you are getting permissions error. All the best! :thumbup1:
