Just few days back i bought a new Blackberry phone. I would like to access my mail on my new Blackberry phone. I'm having a hotmail account. So, can any body tell me that how to get Hotmail on my BlackBerry phone? Does any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the correct way of configuring the setting on my Blackberry phone. Any kind of help would be appreciated.
First of all you need to type in "Blackberry Internet Service" followed by your service provider i.e "blackberry internet service o2" or "blackberry internet service sprint". Then you need to create a new account and just need to follow the instruction. Before you click on finish, you need to click on "send service book". This will send you the settings for your blackberry, so it will be automatically configured. Make sure that you have a called your provider to enable GPRS, otherwise your phone won't be able to connect to the internet.
If you want, there is also an easy way to do it, for that you need to just forward your hotmail to your BlackBerry Web Client. After that you just need to change your reply address, so that you can have hotmail address on outgoing email. This is what i most often do with my GMail account and it works lot faster than using the POP account.
In order to retrieve your Hotmail mail on your Blackberry, you simply need to add it to your Blackberry push mail service. According to me most of the ccounts created since 2004 may not work with Blackberry services. For that you need to the 'mobile.live.com' from your Blackberry Browser and just need to enter your details over there. That's it and you can easily use your Hotmail account on your BlackBerry phone.
