Linux kernel error
Hello everybody,
I have one global ftp and mail server.I am working great with that until i get a issue with it today.when i restart my network service , abruptly system frozen and capslock and numlock button just start to blinking Then i reboot the system . and now it gives me a kernel panic not sync - fatal exception . i don't understand what's is this.Does anyone pick the problem please make me a clarification and provide the fix also.

There are a certain reason for the occurrence of this message.As far as for me it was installing an X100P CARD.Recall, google is your friend. I found the solution to my problem by googling "error reported" replace error reported with the actual error, and there it was.I am guessing you will probably have to modify /etc/rc.d/rc6.d/K92zaptel

An Broken RAM could result this kind of situations.When does the panic occur? At boot? Random times? Does it happen at the same time every time? Can you boot into single user mode? Did you have issues with installation? What hardware are you using? Is there anything else you think you might want to include? If you've thought to yourself.I don't need to say anything about that" then I guarantee that that's the issue

Hi,I am not a veteran in linux please try this or combination of this.You couls use this at the boot prompt: Please attempt the following commands;
*linux acpi=off ; this will switch off the ACPI at the OS level
* linux noapm ; it will disable the APM
* linux noapic ;
