I have a HP Pavilion laptop, which i had bought last year. It wouldn't work any more, giving me a "no signal" message. I took it for diagnostic and they called me back from the service to say that it is the motherboard that needs to be changed. Does anyone have an idea where can i get hp pavilion motherboards? Any suggestions on how i can figure out the above motherboard issue. Let me know your solution for the above issue.
Try to download aida32 which is a hardware detector from the internet. If your system is deemed defective and you do not have a warranty on the unit, you will need to pay for the repairs.
The motherboard manufacturer can be identified by viewing the third digit in the PC's serial number.If you send the unit in for repair for a motherboard replacement a factory recovery will be done on the unit.
HP's support site says it is a P4SD-LA, which is an ASUS OEM board. The kelut-GL6E is manufactured by Asus for HP/Compaq. You would probably find many information on the internet. You can recover the data by taking the notebook to a Hp service center.
