Sample Rate for Cd
Hello , I would Like to what is these sample rate with respect to audio , and what could the sampling rate for Cd ,and other devices , can you explain me in brief what is these sample rate , what purpose do it used for , please answer this ,thanks in advance to all

Re: Sample Rate for Cd
sampling frequency, defined the time interval between two pieces of information in a digital audio file. The higher the sampling rate is high, the better the quality. for audio cd it is 44.1 KHz.

Re: Sample Rate for Cd
The value of the sampling rate for audio CDs, for example, is not arbitrary, it actually follows the Shannon theorem. The sampling frequency must be large enough to preserve the shape of the signal. The Nyquist - Shannon theorem states that the sampling frequency must be equal to or greater than twice the maximum frequency contained in the signal. Our ear perceives sounds about 20 to 000 Hz, it is therefore a sampling frequency of at least about 40 000 Hz to obtain a satisfactory quality. There are a number of standardized sampling:
- 32 kHz for digital FM radio (limited bandwidth to 15 kHz)
- 44.1 kHz for the professional audio and compact-disc
- 48 kHz for digital multitrack recorders and recording professional public (DAT, MiniDisc ...)

Re: Sample Rate for Cd
The sampling frequency is a key to the quality of digital sound. With the quantification of samples, it determines not only the quality of the recording, but instead the audio file occupies memory. The sampling frequency expressed in Hertz and determines the number of samples per second.
