I have a viewsonic 19" monitor which is 1 year old. For few days it has started to give me some problems. If my screen goes dark or on the windows desktop then I am able to see a vertical blue line on the screen which is quite annoying. If I start to fiddle around then the lines doesnt appear, what seems to the problem here. Can anyone help me out, thanks.
What screen are you using, is it an LCD monitor or a CRT monitor? Does it only happens when you no activity is done when you screen is dark or on the windows desktop or also during games and application? Can you please elaborate a liltle more.
I think you have a problem of display card driver so you have to reinstall the updated display card driver. First try to disable the display card driver to see if the problem still exists and then this will force Windows XP to use the default VGA driver.
Have you installed any graphic card, what is your computer specs? If you are using a separate graphic card then try to remove it and reseat it properly again. If reseating it doesn't work, and you have tried a different driver (that is, actually updated it instead of reinstalling the same version), then it probably just needs to be replaced.
