Re: Tools Menu in Excel
What happened to the Options command on the Tools menu?
After you click the Office Button, you can see the new location where you can set your preferences, such as your preferences for specific view, display, and editing settings. The Options command, that was on the Tools menu, was moved to be under the Office Button.
The new location for the Options command is in the lower-right corner under Word Options, Excel Options, PowerPoint Options, or Access Options. The following shows the location in Microsoft Office Excel 2007.

Re: Tools Menu in Excel
If all the above solution doesn't work then the Extreme solution to get the excel back to the default setting... Go to the registry editor..!
Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\[version]
Go to the above position in which "[version]" represents your Office version number (e.g., "9.0" for Office 2000). The [version]\ key should contain a key under named "Excel", with a subkey under that, named "Options". With Excel NOT running, you can either:
- Look weather the string value of 'Options' key is showing for nay errors. If it shows any of the error then :
- Delete that key to make it again default.
