I cannot open my hotmail account

I forgot my password for hotmail, I cannot open my hotmail account. It doesn't recognize my password. It is locked up and I can't retreive my e-mails or contacts. What should I do? It doesn't recognize my pass word. It is locked up and I can't retreive my e-mails or contacts. What should I do?

Ask hotmail, to send you an email with your password. you may well have typed it differently at the time of putting it in. Could be a corrupt cookie issue. Try clearing them and temp and history files. If your account is over 30 days unused, it can be held. Maybe it is a worng password problem.

To open my hotmail account, Try the following steps :

1. Go to Tools,
2. Open Options
3. Click Privacy Tab
4. Look under Cookies,
5. Make sure "Accept Cookies" &
6. The third party cookies are checked.

Have you tried different browser ?? Click on forgot password, enter your alternate e-mail address, the new password has been sent to your alternate e-mail address. If don't remember your secret answer, the alternate e-mail address is the only possibility to recover your hotmail account. Once done, try to sign-in and see if you get the same result. You can also try to access another pc and see if you encounter the same problem on it.
