I have an ID in AIM from last couple of weeks and so not much aware of its features and services. Now due to some security reason i need to change my password for this Instant Messenger but i don't know how to do it here. Could you guys please help me out in changing my AIM password ? I appreciate all your help.
Changing password is not so difficult on any of the messenger. You just need to follow the link of Change Password. Anyways, here is the step by step process for doing so:-
- Go to aim.com/password/change_password.adp.
- Key in your screen name or the e-mail address you registered your AIM account with, your password, and click Sign In.
- Type the answer for your Account Security Question, and click Continue.
- On the Manage Your Account page, click Edit next to Password
- Type your old password in the first box, your new password in the second and third box, and then click Submit.
- You should now receive a confirmation message saying your password was successfully reset. Click the OK button, and click Sign Out at the top left of Manage Your Account page to exit.
You must be changing your password every now and again as well, just to be on the safe side.
For doing so in AIM, just login with your current Password and ID and My AIM option.
Now click on Edit Options and there you will find an option called Change Password.
Just follow the process, and you will be done.
