I have big problems with my hp pavillion dv6000 bios the bios failed on update , the only thing my laptop can do i get start and shut down . can any one help me on this , i am not god at bios setting do i need to download bios or reinstall it or som tweak will do .

First step you need to do i Identify your current version of BIOS , here is how you can do it :
Turn on the PC. after that press F10 when you see the HP logo to enter the BIOS setup.When there is Main menu see the details of the BIOS version. The current latest BIOS version is F3D if you are having the earlier version i think you should update it

Go to HP Software & Drivers enter the model number in the Search field, select all the options now see in the BIOS section there will be WinFlash for HP Notebook System BIOS download the latest version F.3D, after the download just double click the setup and just follow the instruction on the setup and you will end up having latest BIOS . if the BIOS update did not properly fix the problem Contact HP. :thumbup1:
