Error when I try to download .net framework from Microsoft site

Hi,

I have this problem on my XP machine. The problem is that I get an error message when I try to download .net framework from Microsoft website. I get an error message saying that the page can not be displayed. This happens only in case of Microsoft site & not other. What could be the reason?

If you go to the download center of Microsoft, then by default you will live installer of about 2-3 MB and get the full. NET Framework 50-200 MB. Actually on the same page are links for preparation to complete it in a certain manner that everyone can hardly notice them. Seems like Microsoft wants you live installer download but there is problem with live installer ...

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Setup

1. 32-bit Version (Size: ~50MB)

2. 64-bit Version (Size: ~90MB)

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Setup

32-bit version (Size: ~200MB)

Try this.

Go to I.e. security settings and set them to Medium High or set them to levels in the absence to continue. That would improve the problem. If problem still exists after this step go to IE Advanced options and select "Restore Advanced Settings'.
