Re: Problems with network printer in vista
Do you have SP1 already installed? I also had problems on my Vista machines to print on the network. After SP1 (and reinstall the drivers after the update) everything is working properly .
Re: Problems with network printer in vista
Do you still have no network connection between the two Windows systems, check in Vista Network Center the following institutions:
- The network type on private and not public.
- Detection Network Enabled should stand: is this option to Disabled, then Vista does not see other computers on the network.
- File sharing must be Enabled to other file sharing is not possible.
- Public share folders should Enabled are other folder sharing is not possible.
- Printer parts are at Enabled, or printer sharing is not possible.
Re: Problems with network printer in vista
If your Vista notebook can not the internet, then there may be no network connection. The cause could then lie in the (security) institutions with the (wireless) modem or router. It can think of applying the MAC address filter, which ensures that only certain MAC addresses (identification number of the NIC) to access the Windows Vista / XP network.
