How many iPhone users are there ?

hello friends,

Just for the information, I want to know how many total numbers of users are there using iPhone ?

Can anybody give ideas how many iPhone users are there ?

By googling Apple and some news websites, I have found the following information about iPhone : In the first 200 days of iPhone sales (upto early 2008), Apple said they sold some 4 million iPhones worldwide. By the late of Aug 2008, Apple was estimating around 11 million iPhones sales for 2008, and another 25 million for 2009.

But if the current economic events are considered then the estimated sales of iPhone seems difficult for the year 2009.

At present, the number of iPhone users is around 21 million.

After Nokia and Samsung, Apple is the third largest mobile phone manufacturer by revenue.

Apple have sold 6.1 million original iPhone units over five quarters. The company have sold 3.8 million iPhone 3G units in the second quarter of fiscal 2009, ending March 2009, totalling 21.4 million iPhones sold to date.

The sales in fourth quarter of the 2008 have surpassed everyone selling around 5.2 million iPhone units.

Approximately 6.4 million iPhones are active in the U.S. alone.

iPhone are highly sold and used in United States of America. However, the product is started been selling in worldwide in other countries also. The selling of iPhones Asian countries like India, China and Russia is growing.
