A couple of days ago my phone started sending all of my text messages as MMS messages. It just switched from SMS to MMS. Well, when I send text messages by moto razr, it goes as mms, rather than sms. I did a master reset and a master clear, and checked the service center number...its all right...it says gprs is set on no though..should i turn that on? Anyone know how to fix this?
Motorala Razr sends my text messages as MMS, rather than SMS because the memory might be full. Delete all the messages first, for some reason when you are full up on messages instead of telling you it will just start sending MMS instead of SMS messages. Clear out your inbox and that should solve your problem. If it does not, perform a master reset.
I had the same problem, I think this is a kind of bug that bug shows up when there are too many messages in the phone memory. By deleting every message in my inbox after giving the same treatment to my outbox, the problem simply went away and make sure you're not trying to send more than 160 characters, which is the limit of an SMS message.

Just got to Menu > Messaging > Options > Cleanup Messages > All
After that, it will start sending SMS again.
