Re: Vista Boot CD from image
Hey
I do not have repair/resue CD. That is the whole problem.
Do you know how to create boot CD?
Re: Vista Boot CD from image
it seems that you have the vista install disk as a .iso file, am i right?
it also seems that you used winrar or similar to extract the .iso image, however that is not the right way to go.
The .iso file is already bootable, and you destroy this by plainly extracting the files and stick them on the dvd-r.
Get the trial of Alcohol 120% (http://www.alcohol-soft.com/) and crack it if you want to (it's really handy ;)). Click search for image files and search the folder that you have the disk image in. highlight the image and press Ins/insert on the keyboard to insert the image into Alcohol's image list. highlight the Vista image and click "burn image file"
follow the instructions, let it burn it to the dvd-r. Now the new dvd media will be bootable.
Once you boot uo the install disk, go to "repair" and do a system restore.
Re: Vista Boot CD from image
Try any of the cd/dvd burning software , like NERO, ALCOHOL,ASHAMPOO, ...etc they have a burn image to disc option, clicking which asks you to browse the image file that you have stored...just select the image and burn to a new empty dvd then try...
