Hi
IS any one help me to destroy desktop search I remove Windows Desktop Search from the taskbar, In my original attempt I selected the following:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs then i selected Windows Desktop Search and "removed" it. and i rebooted my pc but nothing happen.
Can you provide me some solution ?

I am using widows XP pc in that Add / Remove Programs, there is an entry for Windows Desktop Search 3.01. problem is that, when I start the uninstall, it throws a list of around 50 programs that "could be affected by its removal" because they were installed after it.
go to Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> Administrative Tools and open Services. Look for a service called Windows Desktop Search, right-click on it and stop this services. Right-click on it again, choose Properties and disable the service. Now see at at your taskbar. Do you see that little square box. right-click on the taskbar and go to Toolbars. There you will find Windows Desktop Search as toolbar. Click on it and you will see that the box disappears.
