WMP 12 does not detect media metadata changes
I’m using Windows Media player 11 on Xp SP2. Don’t know for what reason whenever I update ID3 tags on my mp3s, WMP wont detect those changes. No matter how many times I click on “apply media information changes”, nothing happens. I need to force it to do the same and the way I found on internet to do the same is by deleting library database file so that WMP can rebuild the library again.
Do anyone of you have any suggestion for the same? Many thanks.

As far as I know Windows Media Player works fine if the MP3 files are on NTFS drives. Are you using Fat32 or NTFS drives?
RE: WMP 12 does not detect media metadata changes
Hello Beckinsale, my system drive is NTFS. For further details let me tell you that I use MusicBrainz Picard for changing the tags. Since I upgraded to WMP 11, it worked fine detecting these changes for few times. But now have stopped completely.
What now? Do I need to format and change my drive to FAT32 just because WMP is no detecting the same?
Re: WMP 12 does not detect media metadata changes
do a search for and download the windows media player plus! plugin. it gives an advanced tag editor option in wmp12. this solves much of my wmp12 tag problem, but still not all. sometimes i must do things several times for them to take effect.
