re: Is pagefile.sys Vital?
Pagefile.sys, is originally a windows system files act as a virtual memory extension of RAM.Basically pagefile.sys is 1.5 times than your actual physical memory size and might consume a huge disk space of your computer hard drive space.but deleting pagefile.sys doesn't mean virtual memory is off. you can do it if you are not planing to run memory utilizing applications like games and all
re: Is pagefile.sys Vital?
I guess if you got pagefile sys on your computer it will gives you an optimized performance since it behaves like Random Access Memory
However, i would advise you to keep the pagefile.sys on your system if you don't have good physical memory, else you can do it with no regret..
good for you
re: Is pagefile.sys Vital?
dude,
it is your swap file and it's just like a virtual memory I tell you turn ON your virtual memory unless you have huge RAM. Virtual memory is an area on the hard disk that Windows uses just like RAM.
So if you with very low RAM, maybe 256MB,or 500 MB turning virtual memory off will be a blunder. You will strive with your computer soon. As for as my concern, I got 2GB of physical memory and disabling paging file,so i won't face any issue
