Vista: slow bootup after installing Comodo
Couple of days ago i installed Comodo Firewall compatible with my system that is Windows Vista Home Basic x64. Since than, i noted that my computer takes much time to start up. i found that, comodo is the last thing to load after everything at startup.
So, i wanted to know is there any way to fix this slow bootup or i just need to uninstall Comodo ? Please help me guys.
Re: Vista: slow bootup after installing Comodo
It may be the low RAM issue because comodo states that it uses only 64mb ram. in addition, make sure you do Virus and Malware Scans.Sometimes, a computer's performance tends to slow because of all of the extraneous files and programs that are on a machine.you can even try Comodo's free PC Tune Up services.Comodo's experts will also clear up hard disk space by deleting unnecessary files, making a user's PC run faster. The Tune Up Services Include:
- Scan, detection and removal of viruses, Trojans, rootkits and other security threats
- Clearing hard disk space by removing extraneous files
- Optimizing and configuring the user's system for top performance
- Increasing the user's overall PC speed
- 100% free service
Re: Vista: slow bootup after installing Comodo
Running more firewalls at one time gives problems. So if your running any other firewall in addition to Comodo, just disable it.The best way to try and narrow a problem down like this is by doing a diagnostic start up. Go to Start and click on run. Type in the run box "msconfig". Click on the general tab and select diagnostic start up.Reboot. hope this works..
Re: Vista: slow bootup after installing Comodo
I don't think Comodo is the cause for this problem coz in the official site of comodo firewall, comodo states that it uses only 64mb ram. Anyways, if you won't find any fix for this problem, i will suggest you to uninstall it any try some other firewall.
