setup runs every time I start an Office 2007 component

I’m having a Office 2007 Sp2 running on my laptop. Since last few days whenever I open anyoffice application, no matter its Excel, Word, Powerpoint or any other, the setup runs automatically and after few seconds it gives me the following error:

Setup Error red [X]
The setup controller has encountered a problem during install. Please review the log files for further information on the error.

Well my setup is located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\Office Setup Controller, but as the error says to review the log file, I dint find the location of this log file. Can anyone please tell me where is this log located also why is this problem occurring ?

Even I am facing some similar problem with my Office 2007 SP2. First let me tell you that this was the Office 2007 Trail which I later activated and continuing. There was no problem earlier but now whenever I try to launch MS Access, it runs the setup.exe and stops with error message stating “Microsoft Office Professional Hybrid 2007 gets "Error 2711. An internal error has occurred. (ACCESSRTNonBootFiles).”

Well the working Advice is very simple. You will need to uninstall all office products along with the Activation Assistant from your system and than install Office 2007 purchased copy. Such problem occurs duw to conflict in registries of Trail as well as the new office you install. Hence you should always remove all trail versions before installing the new one.

Go ahead and fix it now by re-installing office.
