Tips to export MSN Favorites to Internet Explorer
MSN exlporer is reknown browser. It also an email setup for msn.com. Normally, it is not easy to export your favorites from msn to internet explorer. It somebody wish to switch from msn to internet explore and want his favorites on the new browser then do the following :
Step 1 - Unhiding the hidden file.
- Open My Computer > Go to Tools > Folder Option. Or
- Open Control Panel > Folder Option
- Click on the View Tab > Select Show Hidden Files and Folders.
- Click OK.
Step 2 - Find MSN Favorites file.
- Open My Computer. Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\User folder\Application Data\MSN folder ( Eg: MSN6 or similar )
- Now inside it double click on UserData folder and identify a folder containing long name pattern like ( xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx)
- Open the folder. Right click on Favorites.XML file and select Copy
- Paste the file on Desktop
Step 3 - Import from Internet Explorer.
- Launch Internet Explorer > Go to File Menu > Select Import and Export > Next
- Select Import Favorites and click Next.
- Choose Import from a file or address > Click on Browse.
- Browse to the Favorites.xml file on the desktop and click next.
- Now all your favorites from MSN are available in Internet Explorer

You should also make sure that you have downloaded the MSN Favorites Export Toolkit in your system.
- Search for MSN Favorites Export Toolkit on Internet and download the zip file. This file should be stored to the MSN favorites folder which you have created in Step 2.
- Go to the MSN facorite folder and unzip the MsnFav.zip file which you just stored in this folder.
Run the MSN Favorite Export Program
- You will notice that both the Favorites.XML file and the MSN Favorites Export toolkit are in the same folder.
- Now, double-click on the Msnfav.vbs file. this will start the export process.
- On completion you will see bookmark.htm named file being created in the folder
