Can I connect external monitor to my laptop
I am thinking to buy a new monitor, because I am really fed up of my existing 15 inch screen. Can I connect my laptop to external monitor? Do I need something for this connection?
I am under Windows XP and NVIDIA GeForce 7600 graphics card. I will be using the USB keyboard and mouse.
Re: Can I connect external monitor to my laptop
It is possible as long as you are having VGA, DVI, Display Port and/or HDMI output on your laptop. Certainly you didn't mentioned the laptop model? If you have so then connect it and Windows will detect it automatically.
Re: Can I connect external monitor to my laptop
I am having the old Compal HEL80 Notebook. I think it has VGA port. Can I connect the external monitor directly to the VGA port of the laptop? But I think I would need some cable because the monitor don't have VGA port.
Re: Can I connect external monitor to my laptop
Buy a VGA cable. It had a nine pin VGA Female connector on its one side that should go directly to the laptop. The other side, you connect it to the monitor.
