Re: How to change "My" Icons ?
In Windows operating systems, My Computer, My Network Places, and Recycle Bin are called System Icons. You can easily change the appearance of the system icons individually...
To change System Icons :
1. Click the Start button, go to Settings, and select "Control Panel".
2. In the Control Panel, select Appearence and Themes and Double-click the "Display" icon.
3. Select Desktop tab and click Customize Desktop.
4. From Desktop icons display, click the one that you would like to change/modify.
5. Click the "Change Icon" button.
6. Click the new icon that you would like use in place of the old one.
Hint: Can't find the icon(s) ? Click the "Browse" button to
locate folders containing icons which have ".ico" format file
extensions.
7. Once you have chosen the icon you want, click OK then, click Apply...
Re: How to change "My" Icons ?
Which Windows operating system verion are you using - XP or Vista?
There are 2 options - Manual and Automatic
In Manual, you have to do a lot of resource hacking.
In Automatic, get IconPackager or Axialis IconWorkshop, both have options to change every icon on your system.
