Ati 4850 Unable to overclock ?
hi,
I recently exchanged my Nvidia 7950 GT with an ATI 4850 graphics card. Until now, the CPU frequency to 400 overclocked. The system ran flawlessly,Since the installation of the ATI spectrum, I must reduce to 333, otherwise the BIOS (latest version) of the P5B booting immediately once long and three short beeps (problem with the graphics card -> RAM?). I have noted down the PCI-E frequency to 100, but also reduces test times. I am really not clear what influence the overclocking of the CPU to the graphics card (RAM in particular). Any recommendations and suggestions are appreciated.

Rivatuner usually requires an update when new drivers come out, as each driver package is different. Rivatuner will normally inform you that a particular driver is unsupported by it, when its started up. If you have not already, look for a newer version of Rivatuner first to see if it has the current driver supported.
Dont forget you also have the option of some limited overclocking with Catalyst itself. While its not always the best, and at times unable to OC at similar levels to Rivatuner, it is still a good option to use till a new Rivatuner comes out.

my system is running with a CPU frequency of 400 and a PCI-E clock from 110 now as robust as previously with the Nvidia card.

hi,
you can't over clock by modding the bios of your graphics card. It's done with the drivers. I haven't had an ATI card for a while now, but RivaTuner is what I used to overclock them.
