Problem of P5K "chassis intruded"
I bought a P5K and I worry when I installed an alarm that triggers intrusion and impossible to go further!
What I did:
I check the jumper it is a good place I also try every possible position! After clearing cmos (remove battery) the PC starts correctly 1 time then restart the message back "chassis intruded"
I look for an option in the bios was disabled but I can not find anything!
Re: Problem of P5K "chassis intruded"
Apparently many others have the same concern on the net (Google). There seems to be a jumper to position properly on the motherboard. A look at the manual.
Re: Problem of P5K "chassis intruded"
Yes I saw that many had concerns and I also saw a picture of the location of the jumper that its supposed to be the solution but nothing happens!
Re: Problem of P5K "chassis intruded"
That is also true ....
And clear CMOS jumper = no results then?
Or the battery is dead ... ?
Re: Problem of P5K "chassis intruded"
dead battery? This may be a solution to an intrusion alarm, you think? I have to change the battery!
"chassis intruded - fatal error ... system halted"
I put my bios up to date and I finally found the last version here

Re: Problem of P5K "chassis intruded"
Use ASUS EZ Flash 2. It is the best, the safest and the most convenient way to update BIOS. EZ Flash 2 is a built-in function of BIOS. It is the safest way to update BIOS, because one is not dependent on the Operating System, any application, internet connection, firewall settings, antivirus or anything else that can put the vital BIOS update at risk.
