I have tested the CPU, memory, graphics card and PSU independantly in another machine and they are working fine. The motherboard power LED lights up and when I try to switch the main power switch everything works in drives, CPU fan etc but then nothing happens. The screen remains blank the monitor doesn't even come out of standby mode and switch on.
Please provide some solution regarding this
Did you install the EXACT motherboard back in it? Did you (if not the exact same motherboard) prepare the hard drive Operating System for the motherboard change? Those questions should help a lot to know what might be going on.
Replace a failed motherboard
This scenario assumes that your existing motherboard has failed and that you cannot start the existing Windows installation on the hard disk.
To replace a failed motherboard with a new motherboard and to then reconfigure Windows to work with the new motherboard, do the following:
Turn off the computer.
Replace the existing motherboard with the new motherboard.
Insert your Windows CD in the CD-ROM drive or the DVD-ROM drive, and start the computer from the CD.
From what you say, you might not be able to get there, but try anyway.
When you are prompted To set up Windows now, press ENTER,
Setup looks for any previous installations of Windows XP on the hard disk and then displays a list of any previous installations that it finds.
Use the arrow keys to select the installation that you want to repair, and then press R to select the To repair the selected Windows installation. option.
This will start the repair of your previous Windows XP installation.
Follow the instructions on the screen, and allow Setup to complete the repair of the previous Windows XP installation.
Setup installs the HAL, the IDE controller drivers, and any other drivers that the new motherboard must have.
After the repair is completed, reinstall any service packs or hotfixes that you had previously installed.
This is due to the lack of support and bios update from your motherboard producer .You might need to upgrade your motherboard to some higher config. and then it will work fine on your computer.
Sometime ram doesn't work due to old motherboard setup.
I am sorry to report that if you don't have a legitimate operating System, it will not work. It has nothing to do with passwords (you won't need any of those), it has to do with the legal Operating System Key that you get when you purchase the system disk. That also leaves out the possibility of a clean reinstall. I know of no other solution except obtaining a legal copy of the OS and using that to either try to redo this operating system or doing a clean install.
