The operating system of the virtual machine is UBuntu and the computer os is Vista. When i go on Ubuntu. I don't have connection on the ubuntu os. I have connection outside the virtual machine but not on the ubuntu os. Any help will be extremely appreciated.
I've setup Ubuntu today and gotten the same problem so I crashed out of Xwindows (the ctrl-alt-backspace key combo) to the command line and checked xorg.conf and sure enough, it was using 24 bit too. Can you show us any error messages?
If EULA is a problem and you can't get guest additions to work, use virtual box. it's free but a lot more complicated than virtual pc.it supports host interface networking - which means it uses the host's networking to connect to internet. no adjusting required. you just have to choose which network card is connected - that's it.
