Overclocking Q6600
Hi all
I have some questions:
I would Overclock Q6600 (from a pc hp a6295)
Graphics card: HD 4870 512mb
For the occasion, on my proposed as cm: asus p5q pro. So I want to for my processor, the best would be to DDR3 or DDR2? (if DDR3, what motherboard?)
After, I look for a good box (for box hp lol) Then for cooling air or Watercooling?
Here I want to Overclock the processor and the Graphics card a fond (in any security lol)

Re: Overclocking Q6600
For the overclock, closer to Gigabyte, the EP45-UD3R who tears well:) But at Asus is not bad either. DDR2 @ 1066MHz either the PC8500 G. Skill from home or another brand that has good chips rams.Take the high end for overclock.

Re: Overclocking Q6600
For the box, it depends on your budget, it has everything. Cooler Master, Lian Antec.. Good brands: Cooler Master,Avoid or simply noname boxes. For cooling, the aircooling prefer, but a good, kind or even IFX14 Noctua for Proco because the Q6600 like heat. And a GFX Chilla or Scythe Musashi for the HD4870. The Watercooling is very expensive!

Re: Overclocking Q6600
for cooling Zalman there are also 9700 and 9500LED are huge cooling: They are well for finely engraved, but I can tell you they are struggling to cool a Q6600 overclocked to have tried. when I think my vCore is at 1.60 volts in bios that with 30 degrees temperature with a Zalman 9500LED
