I have problems with a Linksys DSL router while conneting to internet. I read on the router page 192.168.1.1 PPTP but I do not know what I enter everything there must be:
- IP address
- subnet mask
- default gateway (what should I write here?)
- local ip address: (what is there out there?)
In the Linksys DSL router is an integrated switch and I have an Alcatel Speed Touch Home modem.

What is the Speedtouch configured. The simplest is the Linksys via DHCP from the Configure Speedtouch. to leave.
IP address: 10.0.0.140
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
default gateway: 10.0.0.138
I do not know how I configure my speedtouch,this is an old bucket because there are no settings. I have now again with the default gateway 10.0.0.138,can not connect to PPTP server,everything that I've entered:
Username
Password
Login type: PPTP
Internet IP address: 10.0.0.140
subnet mask: 255 255 255 0
default gateway 10.0.0.138
static dns1: 195.3.96.67

Speedtouch modem when there is a problem that the output signal is weak! i had same problem with my U.S. Robotics router that does not work. Just try a cheap plug to switch between them, then it's going. The data you've entered voting runs smoothly for me in the same configuration. Only my network printer does not work yet.
