Missing Hibernation option

Hello there,

I am using laptop with Windows XP. I have recently noticed that there is no hibernate option. Is there any problem with softwares or drivers? how can i get back the hibernation option?

When you click shut down from the start menu, and the little shut down options screen appears, hold down the shift key.The stand-by option will then turn into the hibernation option, Then select it. You always have to hold down the shift key just to go into hibernation.

Hibernation might be disabled. To check, go to the Control Panel -> Power Options -> Hibernate (Tab). See if it's enabled.
